The problem is clear: Traditional, congested classrooms were designed for the Second Wave (the industrial era of steam and rail). They move too slowly for today’s reality. When a teacher has to wait for 40 students to catch up, the technology has already changed by the time the lesson is finished. “One-size-fits-all” instruction is not just inefficient; in the Sixth Wave, it is a liability.
